Rahmat Clinton was an engineer in the food industry, driving product development for both large-scale companies and startups. Originally from Ethiopia, her interest in fintech is inspired by seeing how mobile technologies like M-Pesa create alternative financial access for communities traditionally excluded from financial systems. As President, Rahmat aims to showcase the full breadth of the industry and explore how localized, innovative solutions are solving real needs globally.

Before Haas, Yidi worked at Revolut in Product Management and Strategy Operations. Originally from China and having spent the past 10 years in Japan, she became interested in how AI and technology are transforming fintech and making financial services more inclusive. That curiosity and passion eventually brought her to the Bay Area. As president, Yidi hopes to spark more interest in this space and help students better understand what really happens behind the payment tools they use every day.

Charley Zhao - Careers

Charley spent four years at Deloitte Consulting working on banking transformation projects for community and commercial banks. His work spanned banking architecture assessment, core platform API development, testing strategy optimization, and enterprise workflow modernization. After Haas, Charley plans to work in San Francisco building banking infrastructure, embedded finance products, or neobank platforms.

Angela Siboro is VP of Academics and Admissions for the FinTech Club. Prior to Haas, she worked as a Product Manager at a leading fintech startup in Indonesia, where she developed payments and peer-to-peer lending products. She is passionate about leveraging FinTech to expand financial inclusion and financial literacy in emerging markets.

Yoyo Zhang is an Evening & Weekend MBA student at UC Berkeley Haas with a background in fintech, data, and product management. She has led the development and scaling of data-driven enterprise SaaS and infrastructure products within the payments ecosystem, and is deeply interested in AI-enabled fintech platforms, workflow automation, and sustainable monetization strategies

Christine is a first-year MBA student at UC Berkeley Haas with five years of experience driving growth, partnerships, and product execution across Africa’s fintech ecosystem, from early-stage startup environments to Interswitch Group, Africa’s first fintech unicorn. She has led go-to-market initiatives, revenue expansion strategies, and large-scale cross-functional implementations spanning banks, telcos, and digital platforms.

At Interswitch, Christine scaled API-driven digital payments and messaging products, spearheaded new market entries, and managed strategic partnerships that accelerated customer adoption and portfolio growth. Her work sat at the intersection of product, commercial strategy, and ecosystem development, enabling financial institutions and enterprises to expand digital financial services across multiple African markets.

At Haas, Christine is focused on the future of fintech innovation, including embedded finance, AI-enabled financial infrastructure, and inclusive digital payments. Through the FinTech Club, she is passionate about connecting students to global fintech opportunities, fostering dialogue between industry and academia, and building pathways for technology that expands access to financial services worldwide.
